On Goes the River

On Goes the River is the tale of a young Englishman whose carefree life as a fledgling expat in Russia spirals out of control after he falls for the charms of the bewitching, yet sickly, daughter of a local businessman.
As underlying criminal and terrorist threats, the growing appeal of alcohol and the weakness of his own character slowly get the better of him, tragedy inevitably strikes.
Set at the time of the Second Chechen War, in the Russian cities of Volgograd and Saint Petersburg and the English seaside town of Hastings, On Goes the River is a psychological noir thriller, infused with flashes of violence, and dark ironic humour.
